  • Total (first decision): 6-10 weeks

If revisions are required, the revision cycle may add 3-6 additional weeks depending on the extent of changes needed.

We use double-blind peer review, where both authors and reviewers remain anonymous to each other. This ensures unbiased evaluation based solely on scientific merit. Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent experts in the relevant field.

  2. Download reviewer comments and editor's decision letter
  3. Prepare a point-by-point response document
  4. Revise your manuscript addressing all comments
  5. Upload revised manuscript and response letter through OJS
  6. Submit within the given deadline (usually 2-4 weeks)

Tip: Address every comment, even if you disagree. Explain your reasoning politely and professionally.

  • Accept: Manuscript accepted with minor or no changes
  • Minor Revision: Small improvements needed (presentation, clarification)
  • Major Revision: Substantial changes required (methodology, analysis, interpretation)
  • Reject: Does not meet quality standards or journal scope
  • Reject & Resubmit: Fundamental issues but potential for future submission after major rework

Ethics & Policies

Manuscripts should have a similarity index below 20% (excluding references, methods, and standard phrases). We use plagiarism detection software to check all submissions.

Tips to reduce similarity:

  • Paraphrase properly instead of copying text
  • Use quotation marks for direct quotes
  • Cite all sources appropriately
  • Write in your own words

High similarity may result in desk rejection.

No. Simultaneous submission to multiple journals is considered unethical and violates publication ethics. You must wait for a decision from one journal before submitting to another. If your manuscript is under review, you cannot submit it elsewhere.

Yes, you can withdraw your submission before acceptance by contacting the editorial office with a valid reason. However, withdrawals after acceptance are generally not permitted as the publication process has already begun. Contact journal@msti-indonesia.com for withdrawal requests.

All listed authors must meet these criteria:

  • Substantial contribution to conception, design, or data acquisition
  • Involvement in drafting or revising the manuscript
  • Approval of the final version
  • Agreement to be accountable for all aspects of the work

Contributors who don't meet all criteria should be acknowledged rather than listed as authors. Changes to authorship after submission require written consent from all authors.
